“Liverpool and Norfolk Residents Win £1M Each in Premium Bonds”

Two lucky individuals, one from Liverpool and the other from Norfolk, have each won a substantial £1 million prize through Premium Bonds.

The first £1 million winning number, 496VT504601, belongs to a Liverpool resident who purchased the bond in April 2022 with a maximum holding of £50,000. This marks the fifth jackpot winner from Liverpool.

The second £1 million prize, with the number 282NN327573, was won by a Norfolk resident who acquired the bond in September 2016 and also holds the maximum £50,000. This person is the third jackpot winner from Norfolk.

Andrew Westhead, NS&I Retail Director, expressed joy for the winners, stating that spring has truly arrived for the Liverpool and Norfolk Premium Bonds holders. He highlighted that this month’s draw distributed over £410 million in tax-free prizes, with more than six million prizes awarded by ERNIE.

The March draw resulted in a total payout of £410,607,175 to 6,221,321 Premium Bonds prize winners, bringing the overall prize value to over £40.3 billion since the inaugural draw in June 1957.

Aside from the two £1 million winners, 78 bond holders received £100,000 each in this month’s draw. Additionally, there were 156 prizes of £50,000, 313 prizes of £25,000, and 782 prizes of £10,000. Nearly 2.7 million bond holders received £25 each.

Premium Bonds, introduced in November 1956, offer individuals the opportunity to hold up to £50,000 in bonds backed by the UK Treasury, providing a chance to win tax-free prizes.

Newly purchased Premium Bonds require a full calendar month of holding before being eligible for the prize draw. The winning bond numbers for the £1 million jackpots are announced on the first working day of each month via direct contact from Agent Million.

Bond holders can check for prizes ranging from £25 to £100,000 the day after the first working day of each month using the Premium Bonds prize checker app, the NS&I website, or via Alexa.

To check prizes on the NS&I website, individuals need their Premium Bonds holder’s number, while app users can utilize their holder’s number or their NS&I number.
