Chilling video footage has documented the aftermath of devastating drone strikes carried out by Vladimir Putin on a Ukrainian nursery in Kharkiv. The distressing scenes captured terrified children being evacuated from the chaos caused by a series of strikes. Tragically, one person lost their life, while seven others sustained injuries in the attack.
Images from the scene show firefighters swiftly rescuing the traumatized children from the premises. Fortunately, all 48 children were successfully evacuated following the strikes. The nursery’s roof was completely collapsed, with classrooms in disarray, shattered glass strewn across the floor, and remnants of children’s desks amidst the wreckage. Zelensky expressed outrage over the attack on the kindergarten, emphasizing that there could be no justification for such a heinous act. He criticized Russia’s escalating audacity, labeling the strikes as a direct affront to those advocating for peace.
The incident occurred shortly before the United States authorized Ukraine to utilize long-range missiles supplied by Western allies in response to a failed meeting between Trump and Putin. This decision granted Kyiv the capability to target strategic locations within Russia, intensifying pressure on the Kremlin, as confirmed by US officials.
In a separate event, Ukraine launched British-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles at a Russian chemical plant, targeting facilities producing materials used in ammunition and missiles utilized against Ukraine. This strike coincided with a shift in the approval process for such attacks, transferring authority from the US Defense Secretary to General Alexus Grynkewich, the top American military official in Europe and NATO commander.
