EDF has reintroduced its Sunday Saver challenge for February, offering customers free electricity on Sundays in exchange for reducing their electricity usage during peak weekday hours from 4pm to 7pm. By participating, customers can earn between four and 16 hours of free electricity on the following Sundays. EDF customers with smart meters can enroll in the challenge until Sunday, February 1.
According to EDF, more than 260,000 households have already benefited from over 17 million free hours of electricity through the Sunday Saver initiative, resulting in £5.2 million in bill credits. The Sunday Saver progress can be monitored through the Energy Hub via MyAccount, providing users with insights to optimize their energy consumption and reduce their carbon footprint.
In addition, EDF is offering £50 credit to new and existing customers who sign up for any of its electric vehicle (EV) tariffs in the next month. The EV tariffs, including GoElectric, Pod Point EV Exclusive, Evolve, and Pod Point Plug & Power, offer five hours of discounted electricity every night from 12am to 5am for both households and electric vehicles.
