“Luke Littler Eyes Tax Relief and Bahrain Victory”

Luke Littler has the chance to recoup a portion of his £1 million prize money from winning the PDC World Darts Championship. The 18-year-old secured back-to-back world titles, following in the footsteps of Gary Anderson, by defeating Gian van Veen at Alexandra Palace.

In a dominant 7-1 victory over the Dutchman, Littler showcased his prowess once again, reaching the final for the third consecutive year. Making history, he became the first player to claim the £1 million prize for winning the championship.

Despite the substantial prize increase from last year, Littler is faced with a significant tax bill of up to £470,000 due to UK tax regulations. However, he has a quick opportunity to boost his earnings with his upcoming participation in the Bahrain Darts Masters beginning on January 15.

Having previously won the event in 2024 by defeating Michael van Gerwen in the final, Littler secured a £30,000 victory. Now returning to the Bahrain Masters as a 10-time PDC major title winner, he expressed his determination to vie for another title in January.

Looking ahead to future competitions, Littler aims to set new milestones by competing in the Saudi Arabia Darts Masters shortly after the Bahrain event. Eager to make his mark in the inaugural Saudi Arabian World Series, he plans to continue his winning streak.

Reflecting on his recent successes, Littler emphasized his ambition to dominate the sport and surpass previous records. With aspirations to achieve greatness, he remains focused on his goal of winning consistently across various tournaments.
