A family residing in Squamish, British Columbia, narrowly avoided a construction mishap on Hamilton Street’s 1800 block and considers themselves fortunate to have emerged unscathed. Claire Johnstone, along with her young son, was preparing to leave a hotel when a scaffold suddenly collapsed next to their car on August 11. Feeling helpless and vulnerable, Johnstone recounted the harrowing experience of fearing for her baby’s safety as they swiftly exited the car to assess the situation.
