The Sidemen, a popular YouTube group, have revealed their intentions to launch 15 additional fried chicken eateries within this year.
Established in 2021 by The Sidemen, Sides entered the market in collaboration with Hero Brands, a Scottish food franchise company.
Having initially started with five outlets in various UK locations and one international branch in Singapore, Sides now aims to significantly expand its footprint across the UK. The brand is planning to open new branches in Scotland, Cardiff, and Liverpool.
In addition to its UK growth, Sides is eyeing further expansion in Asia and the Middle East, with upcoming launches in India, Malaysia, Singapore, and the UAE. The brand’s first venture outside the UK was in Singapore last year.

The Sidemen, comprising Olajide ‘JJ’ Olatunji (KSI), Harry Lewis (Wroetoshaw), Simon Minter (Miniminter), Vik Barn (Vikkstar123), Josh Bradley (Zerkaa), Ethan Payne (Behzinga), and Tobi Brown (TBJZL), boast a collective subscriber base of 22 million.
Feedback for Sides has been predominantly positive, with a Tripadvisor review praising the food as “incredible” and the chicken as “crispy and scrumptious”.
Aaron Moore-Saxton, the managing director at Sides, expressed, “Our focus in 2026 is on accelerating Sides’ growth. The enthusiastic response in the UK and the increasing international demand give us confidence as we expand to new locations in Glasgow, Wales, and Liverpool.
