Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, a former footballer, received his highest score of the competition but was still voted off by the judges. During Icon’s Week, Jimmy embodied Prince for his American Smooth performance to Purple Rain, earning a joint third place on the leaderboard. Amber and Nikita claimed the judges’ favor with their Cha Cha Cha to Ariana Grande’s “Break Free.”
After both couples danced again, the judges unanimously chose to save Amber, leaving Jimmy emotional. Jimmy expressed gratitude for the experience and praised the show’s staff, especially his partner Lauren, whom he called “absolutely incredible.”
Lauren, in turn, expressed sadness at the end of their journey, highlighting the fun they had and Jimmy’s progress as a dancer, despite his background as a footballer.
