Apple has introduced AppleCare One in the UK for customers with multiple Apple devices. This subscription, previously available only in the US, offers a convenient and potentially cost-effective way to safeguard up to three eligible devices, such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches, under a single plan for £16.99 per month.
AppleCare One enhances the existing AppleCare+ service by providing coverage for accidental damages, lost or stolen devices, with the option for up to three replacement devices per year per claim. This consolidated plan eliminates the need for separate subscriptions, potentially saving customers up to £11.48 per month compared to individual AppleCare+ plans for each device.
One key benefit of AppleCare One is the flexibility to include devices up to four years old, as long as they are in good condition. This extended eligibility period surpasses the standard 60-day window for purchasing AppleCare+ after acquiring a device.
Additionally, AppleCare One simplifies device upgrades by automatically transferring coverage to a new device when an old one is traded in for a replacement from Apple.
Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, emphasized the customer-centric approach of AppleCare One, stating that it offers a straightforward and flexible solution for UK customers to protect their devices conveniently under one plan, ensuring peace of mind for all covered products.
