“Justin Rose Eyes Career Grand Slam After Record-Breaking Win”

Justin Rose expressed his ambition to achieve a career Grand Slam following his victory at the Farmers Insurance Open, where he surpassed Tiger Woods’ scoring record. The 45-year-old golfer, ranked No.3 in the world, also indicated that he is not yet considering taking on the role of European captain if Luke Donald opts out in 2027.

Rose’s exceptional performance at Torrey Pines, finishing at 23-under 265, marked the first wire-to-wire win in 71 years at the venue. He humorously acknowledged surpassing Tiger Woods’ record, stating it was his primary focus in the final holes of the tournament.

Despite starting as world No.55 last year, Rose’s resurgence, highlighted by a strong showing at the Masters and the Ryder Cup, has propelled him back into the elite rankings. He credited his improved game and mental resilience in California, emphasizing the importance of consistently accessing his full potential.

Having secured 13 tour titles at prestigious venues like Muirfield Village and Pebble Beach, Rose remains determined to add more major championships to his resume. Reflecting on his career, he expressed his desire for multiple achievements and reiterated his childhood dream of completing a Grand Slam, acknowledging that recent results have brought that goal closer.

While Brooks Koepka had a modest finish in his return to the PGA Tour, Rose reaffirmed his commitment to playing on both the European Tour and the PGA TOUR. He emphasized his motivation to compete against the best players globally, rejecting alternative opportunities that did not align with his ultimate career aspirations.
