“Surrey County Council Offers £300 Supermarket Vouchers”

Surrey County Council is providing free supermarket vouchers worth £300 to assist hundreds of households with living costs. This initiative is part of the Household Support Fund, which aims to aid vulnerable families by offering financial support through local authorities.

Residents of Surrey can access the Everyday Essentials E-Voucher scheme if they are facing challenges affording food and essential items. The vouchers are accepted at various supermarkets, including Aldi, Asda, Farmfoods, Iceland, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, and Waitrose.

To be eligible for the scheme, individuals must be over 18 years old, reside in Surrey, maintain household savings of £2,000 or less over a 90-day period, and have an annual household income below £27,007.50 before taxes and deductions.

Applicants are required to provide details of their income and household benefits. Voucher applications open monthly, with the next round available starting February 3. If the application period is missed, individuals can reapply from March 2. Residents outside Surrey are advised to contact their local council for available support options.

Nottingham City Council is offering £100 vouchers to low-income individuals or those receiving benefits. The council is distributing these vouchers randomly to 10,000 households, and recipients may receive them by February 28, 2026. Similarly, Wakefield Council is providing food vouchers to low-income households benefiting from council tax assistance.

Pensioners receiving Council Tax Support were issued a £70 voucher in November, with additional vouchers planned for other households. Families receiving Council Tax Support will receive a £50 voucher from December 15, while other eligible households will receive a £70 voucher between December 3 and 12.

Blackpool Council is distributing £200 in energy assistance to eligible households of one or two individuals, with qualifying households of three or more people receiving £300. To access this support, applicants must demonstrate financial hardship and provide recent bank statements for all household members.
