A television personality from “The Only Way Is Essex” has ended his engagement with his partner due to relationship issues. Tom Pearce, who appeared on the show in 2012, proposed to Rebecca Walker during a grand gesture in Bali three years ago.
After departing from the ITV reality program, Tom, aged 35, moved to Dubai to focus on his career as an equity trader. However, their relationship began to deteriorate over time, leading them to mutually decide to call off their engagement.
Sources revealed that the couple quietly separated last year, despite their initial excitement and the romantic proposal in Bali. Tom chose to keep the split private and did not share details on social media, as he has shifted his focus away from fame.
Living in Dubai now, Tom concentrates on his work, according to insiders. Although the split happened several years ago, the public announcement of their engagement was made three years back during a holiday in Bali.
Their engagement announcement on social media showed Tom proposing to Rebecca in a heart-shaped petal arrangement, capturing her surprised reaction. Despite the joyful moments shared online, the post has since been removed from Tom’s Instagram account.
Former colleagues and friends from the reality show congratulated the couple on their engagement, including James ‘Diags’ Bennewith and Joey Essex. Tom was known for his involvement in various storylines and relationships on the show, particularly with Lucy Mecklenburgh and Lauren Pope.
Lucy, who later found love with Ryan Thomas, ended her relationship with Tom due to her reluctance to commit to another serious partnership. Her journey on the show included romantic links with Mark Wright and other public figures.
