Tragic Deaths of Two Children Spark Police Investigations

A tragic incident has resulted in the death of a one-year-old child, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy. Homicide detectives have taken over the case, which occurred in Sebastopol, south of Ballarat in regional Victoria, as confirmed by Victoria Police.

The infant became unresponsive around noon on Tuesday, November 4, while at home, leading the mother, aged 26, and her 18-year-old partner to rush him to a hospital in Melbourne for urgent medical attention. Despite their efforts, the unnamed baby passed away in the hospital.

According to the statement released by Victoria Police, the Homicide Squad is currently investigating the child’s death that occurred last week. The exact events leading to the tragic incident are still under investigation, and authorities have questioned the mother and her partner in connection with the case.

Police will be preparing a report for the coroner.
