Wetherspoon kicks off its January Sale today in 600 of its pubs, offering a pint of beer for as low as 99p. The discounted drinks lineup includes Worthington’s beer at 99p per pint, Coldwater Creek wine at £2.99 for a 250ml glass, Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml with a mixer) at £1.99, and Tanqueray gin (25ml with a mixer) also at £1.99.
The sale extends to a variety of low-alcohol and alcohol-free drinks such as Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Erdinger Isotonic, Thatchers zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, and Gordons 0.0 pink gin, each priced at £1.69. Additionally, Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa will be available for 99p each. Discounts are also offered on Wetherspoon food items, including an 11-inch Margherita pizza or chicken burger with chips for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.
Customers can opt for six jacket potatoes for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink, with fillings like tuna mayo, coleslaw, chilli bean non-carne, cheese, baked beans, or roasted vegetables. Extra fillings or a side salad can be added for 99p. New gourmet jacket potatoes are introduced at £6.49 with a soft drink and £8.02 with an alcoholic drink, featuring loaded options like cheese, maple-cured bacon, garlic butter, sour cream, chilli bean non-carne, guacamole, crushed tortilla chips, sliced chillies, coriander, pulled BBQ beef brisket, cheese, smoky chipotle mayo, and sliced chillies.
Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin expressed enthusiasm for the January Sale, aligning with the tradition of retail sales in January. The sale will be available in 600 pubs from January 2, and from January 3 in Scotland, until January 15. Note that prices at the remaining 200 venues may vary.
