“Towie Star Lydia Bright Honors Foster Care at Prestigious Awards”

Towie celebrity Lydia Bright opened up about the deep personal significance of the prestigious Pride of Britain Awards. She made a stunning appearance at the event held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, where she mingled with fellow stars such as Peter Andre, Olivia Atwood, Laura Anderson, Pete Wicks, and Sam Thompson on the red carpet.

Dressed elegantly in a long pink gown, Lydia expressed her strong connection to the foster care system and the importance of honoring and supporting children. As a mother to her daughter Loretta Rose, Lydia shared how her upbringing around foster children, due to her mother’s role as a foster carer, has deeply influenced her perspective. She praised her mother for her dedication to fostering for over three decades.

The event celebrated inspiring young individuals, including Luke Mortimer, a quadruple amputee who fundraised for children with disabilities, Zach Eagling, recognized for his advocacy for epilepsy awareness, and Georgie Hyslop, a cancer patient awarded for her fundraising efforts.

Lydia commended the event for bringing together remarkable individuals and emphasized the need to recognize and uplift children in care. She also advocated for better support for young adults leaving the care system, highlighting the importance of continued assistance beyond the age of 18.

Describing fostering as a significant part of her life, Lydia stressed the lifelong commitment foster carers should have towards their foster children. She reiterated the necessity of ongoing support and care for vulnerable individuals transitioning into adulthood.

The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, in partnership with P&O Cruises, can be watched on ITV1 on Thursday, October 23 at 8 pm.
