Sky TV customers in the UK are in for a treat as the company has rolled out a generous free upgrade for some subscribers. Those on the Sky Ultimate plan can now enjoy complimentary access to Disney+, adding a £5.99 value to their package. This enhancement allows viewers to delve into a plethora of content from popular franchises like Pixar, Star Wars, Disney, and Marvel at no extra cost.
The upgraded Sky Ultimate plan doesn’t stop at Disney+; it will soon introduce HBO Max Basic and Hayu to its lineup. The integration of Disney+ content across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms ensures a seamless viewing experience, with features like Continue Watching, search, and voice control now including Disney+ content.
Moreover, Sky Cinema subscribers will benefit from a new Disney+ Cinema channel. For those considering joining Sky, the Sky Ultimate package is available to all UK households starting at £24 per month. This plan includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads (launching on March 26 in the UK & Ireland), Hayu (full access from July), and over 130 Sky channels.
Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, hailed the update as a significant advancement, uniting Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under one subscription. Existing customers will receive the expanded lineup at no additional cost, while NOW Entertainment users will access HBO Max within the app without extra charges. Sky’s aim with these changes is to simplify streaming and provide a more cohesive viewing experience for its audience.
