Former rugby star Mike Tindall is marking his 47th birthday today, likely celebrating with his wife Zara, who is the daughter of Princess Anne.
While the Tindall household celebrates this special day, it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. Before their wedding in 2011, Princess Anne reportedly made a light-hearted request to Mike to alter his appearance.
Mike, known for his rugby career, had broken his nose multiple times, leaving it slightly crooked. Princess Anne jokingly suggested he consider a nose job before the wedding. Although it was not a serious demand, Mike couldn’t fulfill it due to his ongoing rugby commitments.
In 2015, Mike expressed the need for corrective surgery as his nose issues affected his breathing. After retiring from professional sports, he underwent the procedure before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018.
During a panel discussion on Loose Women in 2021, Mike humorously mentioned having dental work done to fix his teeth alignment.
Mike and Zara’s relationship began in 2003 when they met at the Rugby World Cup in Australia. They got engaged in 2010, followed by a wedding in 2011. Mike once described Zara as the love of his life.
The couple welcomed their first child, Mia, in 2014, followed by another daughter, Lena, in 2018. Their first son, Lucas Philip, arrived in 2021.
