“Revolution Bars Sets Deadline for Sale Bids”

The company managing Revolution bars has established a deadline for bids next week as it has recently put itself on the market for sale. The Revel Collective, which operates 62 venues under various brands such as Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba, and Peach Pubs, initiated the sale process in October 2025 due to declining sales.

According to a report by Sky News, interested bidders are required to submit their offers by January 9, with FTI Consulting overseeing the formal sale procedure. Neos Hospitality has shown interest in acquiring some of The Revel Collective sites, although it remains uncertain if they will submit a bid.

The Mirror reached out to The Revel Collective, formerly known as Revolution Bars, for a comment. The company had previously launched a formal sales process in April 2024 but halted it after rejecting an offer from Nightcap. As part of a significant restructuring plan approved by the High Court, the business closed approximately 36 sites in 2024.

In an update in October 2025, company officials cited persistent challenging economic conditions and government interventions as factors hindering their progress since the restructuring. Revenues decreased by 7.4% to £26.3 million in the three months leading to September, primarily driven by a 10.5% decline in like-for-like sales in its bars segment.

Cost-of-living pressures on younger customers and increasing debts, which rose from £22.1 million to £25.3 million by the end of June, have also contributed to the sales decline. Luke Johnson, the former chairman of Pizza Express, assumed the role of chairman at The Revel Collective in September, succeeding Keith Edelman.

Johnson expressed his constant pursuit of acquiring established companies and niche businesses with unique qualities that could lead in the market.
