“Paris Fashion Brand Unveils Skin-Nurturing Bacteria-Infused Clothing Line”

A new craze in the fashion world involves clothing infused with bacteria, aiming to promote skin health. This innovative line of leggings, bodysuits, and tops, priced between £150 and £180 each, is designed by Paris-based brand Coperni in collaboration with Swiss biotech experts. The garments contain live bacteria cells that interact with the wearer’s skin, claiming to enhance the skin’s protective barrier and natural radiance.

Known as Carewear, this collection is a result of Coperni’s vision to create clothing that not only adorns but also nurtures the wearer. The fabric, enriched with friendly bacteria, is engineered to endure up to 40 washes without losing efficacy. The founders, Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer, emphasized the importance of considering the skin as a living ecosystem and envision clothing as a supportive and intelligent extension of self-care.

The brand’s previous avant-garde endeavors include unconventional fashion shows featuring Bella Hadid and robot dogs. Coperni’s commitment to blending technology with fashion was evident in their Fall Winter 2023 show, where models were assisted by robotic canines, symbolizing the fusion of technology and humanity. Additionally, the show showcased handbags crafted from a 55,000-year-old lunar meteorite and transparent glass bags created in collaboration with New York’s HEVƎN.

In the realm of daring fashion statements, Kim Kardashian’s brand Skims is known for its boundary-pushing designs, including a thong with faux pubic hair. Celebrities like Gigi Hadid, Billie Eilish, and Rihanna have been spotted wearing Coperni’s creations, highlighting the brand’s appeal to fashion icons seeking innovative and unique pieces.
