Oliver Bearman Secures Fourth Place Finish in Mexican Grand Prix

Oliver Bearman expressed feeling nervous but exhilarated as he executed a bold maneuver on Max Verstappen during the Mexican Grand Prix, securing a remarkable fourth place finish for Haas. The young British driver started from ninth on the grid in Mexico City and impressively climbed to fourth by capitalizing on the duel between Lewis Hamilton and Verstappen on lap seven.

Hamilton received a 10-second penalty, elevating Bearman to third position temporarily. Despite having to pit twice unlike Verstappen’s one-stop strategy, Bearman successfully fended off Oscar Piastri to secure fourth place. He was thrilled with his performance and the opportunity to compete alongside top drivers like Hamilton and Verstappen.

Bearman’s achievement at the Grand Prix significantly boosted his season points, bringing his total to 20 in his debut full F1 season. He acknowledged that challenging the leading cars and achieving his best result to date would greatly enhance his confidence going forward.

In a surprising move, Sky has enhanced its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle by adding HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+, and Hayu, in addition to offering 135 channels and comprehensive coverage of Formula 1. Sky ensures viewers access to every practice session, qualifying round, and race throughout the season, along with exclusive coverage of various sports events.

Reflecting on his performance, Bearman mentioned successfully defending his position against notable drivers like Kimi Antonelli, George Russell, and Oscar Piastri. He expressed his unexpected joy in competing against top-tier cars and drivers and anticipates such challenges becoming a regular occurrence in his career.

Despite his remarkable achievement, the London-born driver intends to maintain a low-key celebration, opting to catch the first flight back home and head straight to bed. He emphasized his focus on continuous improvement and future success in the sport.
