Man Pushes Pregnant Wife Off Cliff for Insurance Payout

A man, Hakan Aysal, aged 40, is now imprisoned for pushing his pregnant wife, Semra Aysal, aged 32, off a 1,000-foot cliff at Butterfly Valley in Mugla, Turkey. The cruel act occurred shortly after taking photos together. The court revealed that Semra, who was seven months pregnant, met her tragic end as part of her husband’s scheme to benefit from a life insurance policy he had arranged.

During the trial, it was disclosed that Hakan deceitfully coaxed his wife, who had a fear of heights, to the cliff’s edge under the pretense of taking a selfie before callously pushing her off. The couple spent several hours on the cliff before the husband committed the heinous act when no one else was present.

The suspicion of foul play arose when photos of the couple circulated in the media, prompting a witness to recall seeing the pair before the incident. Additionally, a chilling video captured by a passerby showed the couple descending the rocky terrain towards the cliff’s edge.

Following Semra’s tragic demise, Hakan brazenly attempted to claim a £40,000 insurance payout from a policy he had recently acquired. However, his attempts were thwarted when authorities were alerted to the suspicious circumstances surrounding his wife’s death.

Further investigations revealed that Hakan had taken out loans in his wife’s name and embarked on a lavish lifestyle after her passing. Consequently, prosecutors charged him with premeditated murder, accusing him of orchestrating the tragic event to profit from his wife’s demise.

The court sentenced Hakan, who must serve a minimum of 30 years before being eligible for parole, after accepting the indictment for his calculated crime. Witnesses testified that he remained composed and even flagged down help after pushing his wife off the cliff, showing no signs of remorse or concern for her well-being.

Despite his incarceration, reports surfaced that Hakan was pursuing legal action against individuals who purportedly defamed him online, seeking compensation for alleged insults. This behavior indicated his lack of remorse and continued focus on personal gain even while serving a life sentence.
