An English tourist has tragically passed away following an alleged assault in Dublin, as confirmed by the Irish authorities.
The victim, a man in his 40s who was on a holiday visit to Ireland, was reportedly in the Temple Bar Square vicinity of the capital around 12:30 am on Thursday, August 21.
After the incident, he was swiftly taken to Beaumont Hospital in critical condition and later transported to the UK for further treatment.
An Garda Siochana announced on Tuesday that the man in his 40s, who was gravely injured in a serious assault in Temple Bar on August 21, 2025, succumbed to his injuries in the UK on October 25, 2025.
Due to the ongoing legal proceedings, the authorities have refrained from disclosing additional details at this time.
A male suspect in his 20s has been brought before the courts in connection with the aforementioned incident.
