In Russia, a man, Dmitry Artamoshin, aged 46, has been apprehended on allegations of drugging, assaulting, and disappearing young women whom he enticed to care for his nine-year-old son. He is accused of poisoning, physically harming, and sexually mistreating the nannies he hired before confining them within his property in Zvezda, Moscow. Authorities are currently seeking two missing women who are suspected to have met with foul play.
Reports indicate that the suspect’s son, who witnessed the assaults and was subjected to abuse if he disobeyed, is now receiving care from psychologists. The child is reported to be severely traumatized, suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and bearing physical scars and injuries.
The young boy was allegedly instructed to drive his father’s car for alcohol procurement tasks and forced to consume a substance that induced unconsciousness, similar to what Artamoshin administered to his female victims.
One survivor who managed to escape described her ordeal as a brush with death on three occasions, noting that the perpetrator initially appeared pleasant. Artamoshin’s wife, who escaped in March, claimed to have been sexually assaulted, drugged, and physically abused by him. Despite going into hiding, the suspect actively sought her return, prompting a search by authorities. Police are urging any additional victims to come forward.
Artamoshin reportedly recruited the nannies through online adverts, with neighbors describing him as an unassuming gardener with a young child. He has been formally charged with two counts of murder, although no evidence of the missing nannies has been found. Additional accusations include rape, sexual violence, and coercing women into substance abuse.
The suspect faces potential life imprisonment, unless psychiatric evaluations determine him as unsuitable, which could lead to his indefinite confinement in a secure facility. Artamoshin, a former used car salesman known as “The Great One,” exhibited an obsession with numerology, particularly the number 27, coinciding with the disappearance dates of the two missing women, both occurring on the 27th of different months, and his own birthday falling on August 27.
