“School Incident in Germany: 20 Children Injured by Pepper Spray”

A significant incident unfolded at a school in Germany today, resulting in 20 children being injured during class.

At Raderthal School in Cologne, nine of the children were quickly transported to the hospital following the deployment of pepper spray, triggering a “mass casualty incident” response by police and emergency services.

Initially called to assist one person, emergency crews soon discovered multiple pupils experiencing severe eye irritation, necessitating immediate medical attention.

Authorities suspect that a single 16-year-old individual instigated the incident by using the spray. A spokesperson from the local fire department, speaking to the Rundschau newspaper, stated, “Early reports indicated one person was harmed, but it became evident that several children were suffering from severe eye irritation.”

According to local sources, the nine hospitalized children, aged between 12 and 14, are under observation for further treatment. Both the fire service and police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the event.

This incident follows a similar occurrence two months ago, where numerous children were exposed to tear gas at another primary school in Germany. In that incident in Hanau, a man targeted around 20 children in the school’s stairwell on Kleinfellerstraße, resulting in six girls and 14 boys experiencing breathing difficulties. Two pupils were subsequently admitted to the hospital, with reports indicating the potential use of a pepper spray gun.
