A source within HMP Bronzefield in Surrey has revealed that Lucy Letby, the nurse convicted of multiple child murders and attempted murders, spends her time in prison binge-watching the TV show Come Dine With Me and stockpiling Maltesers in her cell.
Letby, 35, is currently serving multiple life sentences for her crimes at the NHS Countess of Chester Hospital. She is reportedly housed in a special wing for well-behaved inmates, where she enjoys privileges such as extra visits, a personal TV, and the option to wear some of her own clothes.
According to the insider, Letby is described as a model prisoner who actively participates in prison activities and education. Her preference for watching Come Dine With Me is so strong that she only retreats to her cell during the show’s marathon sessions, showcasing her fondness for the reality TV program.
In addition to her TV habits, Letby reportedly collects Maltesers and Minstrels in her cell, purchasing them with money sent by friends and family. Sources have suggested that Letby was moved to the enhanced status section of the prison to protect her from potential attacks by other inmates.
Despite her horrific crimes, Letby is said to be reserved and cooperative with staff. However, some officers are reportedly discontented with her privileged status given the severity of her offenses. Letby was sentenced to 15 life terms in August 2023 and is one of only four women in British history to receive a whole life order, ensuring she will remain incarcerated indefinitely.
