“Strictly Duo Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly Exit Show After 21 Years”

Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly made a pact to leave Strictly Come Dancing together while they were at the peak of their hosting careers. This decision surprised fans when the duo announced their departure after 21 years on the show.

According to Claudia, the plan to exit the show simultaneously was established years ago during a casual pizza meeting. She jokingly dismissed the notion that viewers desired her permanent stay, stating, “I don’t think anybody would want that. I am sure people watching would go ‘Can that small orange creature just shuffle off?’ Tess and I will leave at the same time. We made that pact over pizza. I had pepperoni.”

Taking over from the late TV icon Sir Bruce Forsyth in 2014, Claudia and Tess have maintained a strong partnership on the show. Claudia expressed her admiration for Tess, highlighting their perfect dynamic while hosting together.

Despite her widespread recognition, Claudia, 53, remains incognito during her daily Tube commutes. She attributes her successful career in showbiz to her parents, who instilled confidence in her from a young age.

Beginning her television journey in 1992 on the BBC travel series Holiday, Claudia’s breakthrough came in 2004 when she landed the hosting role for Strictly’s sister show, It Takes Two. She later transitioned to the main show alongside Tess, which she describes as a fulfilling experience.

Known for her unique style, Claudia draws inspiration from various themes for her outfits. She reminisced about memorable costume choices, including dressing up as iconic figures and even a London restaurant.

While Kate Moss serves as her style muse, Claudia maintains a simple wardrobe outside of work, preferring dark colors for their versatility and ease of coordination. Reflecting on her career, Claudia expresses gratitude for the opportunities she has had and remains open to new ventures in the future.

Tess Daly credits the late Sir Bruce Forsyth for her successful journey on Strictly Come Dancing, highlighting his mentorship and support during her early days on the show. She commends the BBC for embracing female hosts like herself and Claudia, emphasizing their strong partnership and mutual respect.
