“Wetherspoons Airport Pubs in Spain Charge Higher Prices”

Punters who visit the new Wetherspoons pub in Spain may find themselves paying more compared to their usual prices back home. While many menu items and beverages still offer reasonable value, they generally exceed the costs at the chain’s regular street locations.

According to company executives, the higher prices are attributed to the increased operational expenses of running pubs in airport settings. They clarify that the pricing at the Spanish establishment is in line with what is offered at their existing sites in airports and train stations across the UK.

For instance, a substantial breakfast at the Spanish pub is priced at 10.25 euros (£8.84), whereas the same meal averages around £5.09 in the UK. To assess the price differences, comparisons were made by the Mirror between the Alicante pub and Wetherspoons’ Solihull pub in the West Midlands, as well as Gatwick Airport.

It’s worth noting that certain menu items may not be identical in terms of portion sizes and ingredients. Some examples include the Margherita pizza, All day brunch, Classic burger, Chicken, eggs, and beans dish, Pint of Stella Artois, Asahi beer, Pint of Greene King Abbot Ale, Guinness 0.0, and Coca Cola/Pepsi (398ml).
