“Scottish Woman Fabricates Pregnancy with Lifelike Doll”

A young woman, Kira Cousins, from Airdrie, Scotland, has come under scrutiny for allegedly fabricating a pregnancy and presenting a lifelike doll as her newborn daughter, Bonnie-Leigh. This incident follows previous claims by one of Kira’s acquaintances that she had previously misrepresented another child as her own, using stolen images from social media.

According to reports, Kira engaged in a similar deception in 2023, circulating photos of the acquaintance’s child as her own. The acquaintance expressed shock and dismay upon discovering her child’s images being misrepresented by Kira. She further revealed that Kira attempted to involve her in the fabricated narrative by presenting the child as her own and requesting her to be the godmother.

The acquaintance disclosed that Kira shared numerous photos portraying the fake baby’s growth from birth to several months old, all of which were actually images of her own daughter. Despite attempts to confront Kira for an explanation, the acquaintance expressed doubt that Kira would provide a truthful response.

Earlier this year, Kira faced backlash when it was revealed that her purported baby, Bonnie-Leigh, was actually a doll. Following the discovery by the baby’s “father,” Kira allegedly informed him of the baby’s demise through messages. Despite this revelation, Kira remained tight-lipped when contacted for comments.

Friends and relatives grew suspicious of Kira’s claims as inconsistencies emerged in her story, including the lack of the baby crying and her reluctance to allow physical contact, citing health concerns. Neave McRobert, a close associate, highlighted the gradual removal of photos and videos of Bonnie-Leigh from their interactions, indicating a deliberate attempt to conceal the truth.

Neave further revealed that Kira’s deceit extended to fabricating the baby’s death to maintain the charade. The elaborate deception, which included staged events like a gender reveal and false medical conditions, left those close to Kira feeling deceived and betrayed. The use of Reborn dolls, costing between £30 and £2000, added a layer of authenticity to Kira’s elaborate hoax.
