Sky Customers’ Frustration as ITVX Glitch Fast-Forwards Shows

Some Sky customers are facing an annoying issue with the popular ITVX app. Reports of disruptions started surfacing last week, with users experiencing abrupt skips to the end of shows randomly. This glitch has left viewers frustrated as it interrupts their viewing experience by unexpectedly fast-forwarding to the credits without any command from the remote.

Expressing their concerns on Sky’s forum page, one user named Dazzasky mentioned experiencing the problem consistently over the past few days. Another user named Dawn also reported similar issues, highlighting instances where the program abruptly jumped to the end, making it seem like the show had been fully watched.

Affected users primarily using Sky’s online devices, such as Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs, are encountering these TV playback issues. While it remains unclear if Sky Q users are also impacted, the majority of complaints are from individuals using broadband-powered gadgets rather than traditional satellite dishes.

Despite the lack of clarity on the root cause, a Sky representative named Kev has acknowledged the problem and assured users that they are actively working on resolving it. Kev’s message on the forum indicated that the company is collaborating with ITV to address the issue promptly. Updates on the progress of the fix will be shared as soon as more information becomes available.

In the meantime, users may have to endure the skipping problems, but a solution is expected to be in the works to restore seamless viewing experiences. Mirror Online will continue to provide updates on this matter as more details emerge.
