Claudia Winkleman Announces Departure from “Strictly Come Dancing”

Popular television presenter Claudia Winkleman shared candid reflections on her involvement with the BBC’s hit show “Strictly Come Dancing” before revealing her departure from the series today. Winkleman initially joined the spin-off series “It Takes Two” in 2004, later transitioning to co-host the Sunday results show with Tess Daly. In 2014, she took on the role of co-hosting Saturday evenings alongside Daly, following Sir Bruce Forsyth’s exit. She emphasized the familial atmosphere among the long-standing team members, highlighting the significant moments they have shared over the years.

Aside from her involvement with “Strictly Come Dancing,” Claudia Winkleman is a familiar face on British TV, having appeared on shows like Channel 4’s “The Piano” and BBC’s “The Great British Sewing Bee.” Recently, she has been hosting the successful BBC game show “The Traitors.” Today, Winkleman and Tess Daly surprised viewers by jointly announcing their departure from “Strictly Come Dancing” after a successful 15-year partnership. In an Instagram video, the duo expressed gratitude for the opportunity to host the show, thanking the BBC and the entire production team for their support and camaraderie.

“Strictly Come Dancing” is scheduled to return on BBC One this Saturday evening at 6.25 p.m. Viewers can expect a new chapter for the show following Winkleman and Daly’s departure.
