Trump Considers Pardoning Maxwell, Dismisses Epstein Files

Donald Trump has not ruled out the possibility of pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell and dismissed concerns about the Epstein files, stating he is indifferent to the release of further documents. This development follows the disclosure of over 23,000 documents to Congress by Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, which include numerous emails referencing Trump.

Epstein’s emails alleged Trump had knowledge about certain matters concerning young women, although Epstein admitted Trump never received a massage. When asked about Epstein’s claims, Trump responded that he had no knowledge of the situation and redirected the focus to Epstein’s interactions with Bill Clinton.

In a recent post on his Truth Social platform, Trump announced his intention to task Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel with investigating Epstein’s associates, including former President Clinton. Justifying his directive, Trump emphasized his authority as the “chief law enforcement agent” of the United States.

Regarding the House of Representatives’ proposal to release more Epstein files, Trump expressed disinterest, labeling it a Democratic ploy. He suggested delving into the backgrounds of individuals like Reid Hoffman, hinting at their connections to Epstein’s activities on the island. Trump further dismissed the push for more file releases, dismissing it as a political scheme.

Shortly after Trump’s statements, Hoffman urged the release of all Epstein files for the sake of justice for the victims. He emphasized the importance of full transparency to ensure accountability.

In response to queries about potentially pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell, currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking, Trump stated he had not contemplated such a decision. When pressed on why he would not rule out a pardon, Trump maintained that he neither confirmed nor denied the possibility.
