Tracey Connelly, the mother of Baby P, has confessed to having an interest in BDSM fetishes and revealed that she visited a sex club upon her release from prison. The 44-year-old, previously jailed for her role in her son’s tragic death in 2007, disclosed that she engaged in “titillating” conversations after her release in 2022.
Appearing before a Parole Board panel to discuss Peter’s death, Connelly faced inquiries about her personal relationships and sexual preferences as part of the assessment for potential release or transfer to an open prison. It was disclosed that she was sent back to prison in August of the previous year for maintaining a clandestine year-long online relationship that involved explicit messages.
Connelly admitted to concealing her troubled past from her partner before engaging in activities together, leading to her reincarceration for breaching probation terms. While acknowledging discussions about BDSM fetishes, she clarified that they never materialized into actions, stating that it was for mutual arousal.
Despite being monitored with an ankle tag, Connelly acknowledged visiting a sex club, claiming it was out of curiosity and that she had no immediate desire to return due to the lack of activity during her visit. Regarding her interest in BDSM, she emphasized that it revolves around trust and relinquishing control to a trusted partner, citing it as an intimate aspect for her.
Connelly, who served a minimum of five years in prison starting in 2009 for Peter’s death, was released in 2013 but was recalled after two years for selling explicit photos online. Despite facing criticism, she was released again in 2022 under stringent license conditions. However, her failure to disclose a new online relationship in August prompted her return to prison.
Her prison offender manager noted that Connelly attempted to conceal evidence of her relationship from authorities by deleting information from her phone. Additionally, it was revealed that she engaged in an intense 12-month relationship with another inmate, involving physical affection, before being relocated within the facility once their interactions became known.
Speaking at the hearing, Connelly expressed her preference for non-monogamous relationships. The proceedings are ongoing.
