“Anthony Joshua Preps for Jake Paul Showdown in Miami”

Anthony Joshua is fully committed to his upcoming bout against Jake Paul, having made the trip to Miami early to acclimate to the time difference.

Having not competed since suffering a devastating knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024 at Wembley Stadium, Joshua has been sidelined for most of 2025 due to injury. However, following successful elbow surgery, the former heavyweight champion is now back in rigorous training as he prepares for his return to the ring.

The announcement of Joshua facing off against Paul took many by surprise. The highly-anticipated showdown is scheduled for December 19 in Miami, Florida, and will consist of eight three-minute rounds with both fighters using 10oz gloves.

While Joshua is widely expected to have the upper hand against the YouTuber-turned-boxer, he is leaving no stone unturned in his preparations. His promoter, Eddie Hearn, has confirmed Joshua’s presence in Miami, emphasizing the boxer’s sharp focus leading up to the lucrative match.

The heavyweight clash between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul is set to be broadcast live on Netflix on December 19. Fans can access the fight for free by subscribing to Sky’s £15 Essential TV bundle, which is currently being offered at the lowest price ever by the broadcaster.

Hearn revealed that Joshua has been instructed to weigh no more than 245lb for the fight, a target that seems achievable without significant weight cutting challenges. Hearn also disclosed a slight exaggeration during negotiations regarding Joshua’s weight to ensure a fair competition.

The fight between Joshua and Paul is expected to take place in Miami just days before Christmas, likely starting around 11pm local time, which translates to 4am in the UK. However, the exact timing may vary based on the undercard duration. The event will be live-streamed on Netflix for viewers to enjoy.
