“Sky Mobile Subscribers Face £1.50 Monthly Bill Hike”

Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers are set to experience an increase in their monthly bills starting next month following a recent announcement. The majority of customers will witness a £1.50 per month hike, totaling an annual increase of £18. However, some individuals may face varying adjustments to their bills.

Starting from February 14, 2026, customers will notice the revised pricing on their bills, marking the first price alteration for in-contract Sky Mobile customers in over seven years. If subscribers are dissatisfied with the price adjustment and are within the minimum contract period, they have the option to cancel their package without incurring an early termination fee.

Notably, the price of the Sky Mobile social tariff, catering to those with lower incomes, will remain unchanged. The price modifications are attributed to escalated wholesale network expenses, with affected customers being informed of the increase starting today.

A spokesperson for Sky Mobile stated, “To uphold the quality, service, and value our customers anticipate, a majority of Sky Mobile users will experience a £1.50 rise in their monthly bill from February.” The spokesperson added, “This adjustment reflects the ongoing industry-wide cost pressures while enabling us to continue investing in our network and enhancing the customer experience.”

In a similar vein, O2 recently disclosed that nearly all mobile and SIM-only contract customers will face a £2.50 monthly increment from April 2026, surpassing the initially planned £1.80 raise. Furthermore, Three mobile customers opting for a data plan of 4GB or less will encounter a £1.80 monthly price hike from April 2026, an increase of 80p compared to the current £1 rise.

For customers selecting plans ranging between 4GB and 100GB, the monthly cost will climb by £1.90 from April 2026, while those with over 100GB will see a £2.30 spike. Additionally, Three broadband subscribers can anticipate a £3.50 monthly increase starting in April 2026.

Vodafone mobile users engaging in new deals from November 12 will witness a £2.50 monthly bill escalation, whereas Basics SIM plan holders will experience a £1.50 raise. Vodafone broadband customers, on the other hand, are slated for a £3.50 monthly price upsurge. Existing Vodafone and Three broadband or mobile contract holders will witness price adjustments per their pre-agreed terms.

This price adjustment trend across various network providers is a response to industry-wide cost challenges, allowing companies to sustain operational and service quality standards.
