“Chancellor to Present Budget Focused on NHS, Debt, Cost of Living”

In a few days, I will present my second Budget as the Chancellor. My focus will be on supporting working families by addressing NHS waiting lists, reducing national debt, and lowering the cost of living. These are not only the nation’s priorities but also my top concerns as Chancellor.

Addressing NHS waiting lists is crucial as we have committed to revitalizing the health service, undoing the austerity measures imposed by previous governments, and ensuring prompt access to necessary medical care for patients.

Reducing national debt is essential to allocate funds properly to areas like education, healthcare, law enforcement, and communities, instead of spending a significant portion on debt interest payments.

Lowering the cost of living remains a key challenge for households, with high prices disproportionately affecting ordinary families. Many feel the economy is not benefiting working individuals, and my Budget aims to alleviate this pressure by implementing measures to control living expenses.

Our government has already taken steps to ease financial burdens on households, such as extending the freeze on prescription charges and rail fares, introducing breakfast clubs in schools, and cracking down on ticket scalping to make entertainment more affordable.

These initiatives are just a glimpse of our efforts to assist people with daily expenses. My pledge to readers is that the upcoming Budget will expand on these actions.

The stability we have restored to the economy and our prudent spending habits have enabled us to address the cost of living effectively and avoid repeating past mistakes.

Our commitment to eliminating waste and fraud ensures that every pound is utilized where it is most needed, whether in asylum support, eliminating police and crime commissioner roles, or preventing welfare fraud.

The forthcoming Budget is designed to benefit you and your family, aiming to foster a fairer, more resilient, and secure Britain.
